    FOUNDER | REHABILITATION THERAPIST

After a distinguished Human Resources career spanning close to a decade, I reached an inflection point in 2018 and has since dedicated my attention to elevating the standards of conservative management for companion animals in Singapore and beyond.

I am a credentialed graduate of the Certified Canine Fitness Trainer (CCFT) program administered by the University of Tennessee. I also have UK qualifications in canine hydrotherapy, and previously served as Director of the Asian Association of Canine Hydrotherapists. I was also privileged to have been appointed an adjunct lecturer for Temasek Polytechnic’s Specialist Diploma program in Veterinary Wellness Care, where I taught modules in canine rehabilitation and exercise physiology.

Currently, I am pursuing internationally-accredited post-graduate qualifications in canine rehabilitation in both the USA and UK respectively. Where possible, I actively participate in various CPD workshops and symposiums internationally to advance my working knowledge in my key areas of special interest - specifically multimodal management of arthritis, and physical therapy for the geriatric patient.

Together with my unique background comprising capability development, counselling, and relationship management creates a nexus that will form the basis of our clients’ exceptional experience at Fido’s Pawpose.

Our growing team members have been carefully hand-picked to represent and embody these traits, and we are proud to be of service.

    REHABILITATION THERAPIST-IN-TRAINING

I’m Josephine and am the newest member of the Fido’s Pawpose team! Currently, I’m on an exciting journey as I pursue additional credentialing to be a certified canine rehabilitation practitioner (CCRP).

Since young, I have had a passion for working with animals. Even though I graduated with a Diploma in Interior Design, my heart led me down a different path and I started my career as a veterinary nurse at a community animal clinic, where I gained invaluable experience in shelter medicine, providing clinical care and treatment, and supporting companion animals on their road to recovery.

Eager to expand knowledge and skillsets, I took on a Specialist Diploma in Veterinary Wellness Care, and pursued other nursing programs to supplement my expertise. My dedication and hard work were finally recognised and I was honoured and humbled to be nominated as one of the finalists for the Vet Nurse/Technician of the year 2021/2022 accorded by the Singapore Veterinary Nurse Technician Chapter.

After spending several years in acute care, I decided to double-down on my calling and specialise in canine rehabilitation. My goal is to explore non-invasive interventions through positive reinforcement methods to enhance the well-being and quality of life for our furry friends. I am also fear-free certified, so you can rest assured that I’m vested in creating a safe and comfortable environment for all clients that comes under my care.

I’m truly committed to this cause and love giving back whenever I can. On my days off, you’ll find me either volunteering at a vet clinic to keep my clinical skills sharp - or at the Singapore Zoo where I believe in making a difference and giving back to the animals that bring us much joy and happiness.

I’m thrilled to be part of this canine rehabilitation movement and cannot wait to meet you and your beloved canine companions as we embark on this journey of healing and improvement together. Let’s all work towards a happier and healthier life for our furry family members!
